How to log in to LiteFinance MT5

  1. Open MT5 and go to File > Login to Trade Account (or File > Open an Account if the account is new).
  2. Type the login number exactly. It is not your email and it is not your client-area user name.
  3. Pick the server from your LiteFinance trader area and type the trading password. The investor (read-only) password will connect but will not let the EA place orders.
  4. Check the bottom-right corner: a green connection with a latency figure means the terminal is live. A red "No connection" means the server or the password is wrong, or the terminal cannot reach the broker.

Which LiteFinance MT5 server is mine?

LiteFinance shows the server in the trader area when the account is created and repeats it in the email with the MT5 credentials. If you downloaded the terminal from LiteFinance, the server is normally pre-filled and you only type the login and the trading password; if you installed MT5 from MetaQuotes, you have to type or pick the server yourself.

One detail that catches people: LiteFinance runs several account types, and the terminal download link changes with the account type. Installing the terminal from a page that belongs to another account type can leave you with a server list that does not include your login.

Does SignalForge work with LiteFinance?

Yes, as long as your account runs on MetaTrader 5. SignalForge does not connect to the broker through an API: it places the order from the MT5 terminal where the EA is attached, using your own login. That is why the setup works the same on a demo, a live account or a prop-firm account on LiteFinance: no broker agreement is needed, and no credentials leave your terminal.

Two practical consequences. First, the terminal must be running with the EA on a chart when the alert arrives; if MT5 is closed, the order is not placed. Second, the symbol in the alert must match the symbol in that terminal, which is what the next sections cover.

TradingView alerts to LiteFinance MT5, step by step

  1. Create the signal in TradingView and copy the webhook URL from the SignalForge dashboard (Connect > Copy webhook).
  2. In the TradingView alert, paste the URL into Notifications > Webhook URL and paste the JSON body the dashboard shows. The body needs the symbol, the side and your account token.
  3. Make sure the alert fires once per bar close for strategies, or once for manual ideas. A re-firing alert sends the order every time.
  4. Attach the SignalForge EA to one chart of the terminal and paste your webhook token in its input. The chart can be any symbol: the EA routes by the symbol in the alert.
  5. Send a test alert. The dashboard shows delivered when the EA confirms the order, not when TradingView fires.

Contract size before the first alert

Before you automate a LiteFinance account, check one number: the contract size of the symbol you trade. Two accounts on the same broker can have different contract sizes, and the same 1% risk produces a very different lot. The lot size calculator takes the contract size as an input, so you can confirm the result against a real order on the demo.

Symbols on LiteFinance and the suffix problem

LiteFinance uses standard names for the majors, but some account types add a suffix to metals and indices, and the cent-style accounts use their own contract sizes. That last part matters more than the name: a cent account with a 0.01 lot is not the same exposure as a standard account with 0.01.

The fix is always the same: open Market Watch in your terminal, right-click, choose Show All, and copy the symbol exactly as it appears. If your alert says XAUUSD and the terminal lists XAUUSD.m, the order is rejected before it reaches the broker. SignalForge keeps a per-account symbol alias table for this: you map the alert name to the broker name once in the dashboard and every later alert resolves automatically.

If you size positions from the alert, check the contract with the calculator before the first live trade: lot size calculator, XAUUSD and NAS100 variants, and the profit calculator to see what each point pays on that broker.

Common MT5 errors on LiteFinance

  • "Invalid account". The pair login + server does not exist. Check the server first: a demo login does not authorise on a live server and the other way round. Then check the password: the client-area password and the MT5 trading password are different.
  • "No connection". The terminal cannot reach the broker. Try another server from the same broker, check whether your network blocks the MT5 ports, and confirm the broker is not in maintenance. A demo that has expired also shows this.
  • "Market closed". The symbol exists but its session is closed, or the broker disabled it for your account type. Metals and indices keep shorter sessions than forex.
  • "Invalid stops" (10016). The stop loss or take profit is too close to the current price for that broker. Widen the distance or let the EA manage the stop after the fill.
  • "Not enough money" (10019). The lot is too large for the free margin at that leverage. Recalculate with the margin calculator before changing the lot by hand.

Prop-firm accounts on LiteFinance

Prop firms rarely run on a retail broker. If your challenge is with a firm such as FTMO, FundedNext or The5ers, the MT5 login is issued by the firm, not by LiteFinance, and the server belongs to the firm. The setup is the same: the EA runs in that terminal and the alerts arrive through your own token. The prop-firm section has the login and rule notes for the main firms.

FAQ

Where do I find the LiteFinance MT5 server?

In the trader area, next to the account, and in the email with the MT5 credentials. If you installed the terminal from LiteFinance it is usually pre-filled.

Why is my LiteFinance order rejected if the symbol exists?

Because the alert symbol and the terminal symbol are not identical. LiteFinance adds suffixes on some account types; copy the name from Market Watch and map it once in the dashboard aliases.

Does SignalForge support LiteFinance cent accounts?

Yes, as long as the account runs on MT5. Check the contract size of the symbol before sizing, because cent accounts use their own.

Do I need a VPS for LiteFinance?

Only if you do not want to keep your PC on. The EA runs in your terminal; SFCloud hosts the terminal when you prefer a machine that stays online.
