The MT5 drawdown recovery manager that watches every EA you run.
SFRecovery EA opens no trades of its own. It watches the positions you already have — manual trades, other EAs, webhook entries — and when one sinks into drawdown it recovers it with an averaging cycle, a basket take-profit and net-positive pair partials. One-time $30 on MQL5 Market, free Strategy Tester demo.
A recovery cycle in 4 steps.
SFRecovery EA is a position manager, not a signal generator. It sits on one chart and guards every position you tell it to watch.
Watch
The EA monitors the positions you choose: manual trades, other EAs, webhook positions — or everything at once with the default "*" manage-all mode. No entries, no signal logic of its own.
Launch on your $ trigger
When a watched position loses more than your absolute dollar trigger, a recovery cycle starts for that symbol. You define the pain threshold in $, not in pips.
Average with the grid
The EA averages down with a controlled grid: ATR-spaced or time-based adds (anti-stall), lot multipliers you cap, and a hard lock at max grid on hedging accounts so exposure stays bounded.
Exit at break-even + target, or shrink
The cycle closes the whole basket at break-even plus your $ target — and along the way, pair-based partial closes match a profitable recovery leg with the worst loser and close the pair only when it nets positive.
Built to not blow up.
Averaging down is dangerous by nature. SFRecovery EA ships with the guardrails we measured, on by default.
Manage-all "*"
Out of the box it manages every position on the account — manual trades, other EAs and webhook positions at once, AW-Recovery-style. Restrict by magic or symbol when you want to.
Net-positive pair partials
Pairs a profitable recovery leg with the worst losing leg and closes only when the pair nets positive (default +$0.10). Set "Min NET $ a partial pair must book" negative for AW-Recovery-style gradual reduction with small capped losses per pair.
Anti-stall engine (v3.15)
Time-based DCA adds after N bars without distance progress (InpStepBars) and cycle auto-exit at any positive after N bars (InpCycleMaxBars). The EA never sits idle waiting for a huge ATR step or a far target.
3-tier circuit breaker
Drawdown tiers halve lots, halt new orders, then kill the cycle and cool down. Hard $ loss cap on top, plus spread and rollover guards.
Kalman trend filter
A Kalman filter gates new recovery entries against the trend. REC_KALMAN is the factory default mode — the one our measured grid picked.
Lock at max grid
On hedging accounts the EA locks exposure with an opposite position when the grid hits its cap, freezing the drawdown instead of adding risk.
On-chart panel + manual pad
A live panel shows cycle state, basket P/L and breaker status. The manual pad lets you trigger or close cycles yourself when you want hands-on control.
Optional Telegram alerts
Cycle starts, partial closes and breaker events pushed to your Telegram. Off by default — the EA works fully standalone.
Tested like a manager, not a strategy.
These are MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester results: the manager plus InpTestAuto synthetic tester entries that force recovery cycles, not a standalone strategy and not live performance. The factory defaults below are the same grid we used to tune the EA — no .set file needed.
Manager + synthetic tester entries, not a strategy. SFRecovery EA has no entry signal: the tester numbers measure how it recovers positions, not how it picks them. Past tester performance does not guarantee future results.
Running in 3 steps.
From the Market to a guarded account in minutes. Factory defaults already run the measured config.
Install from MQL5 Market
Open the MQL5 Market listing and install through MetaTrader 5 like any other EA — or run the free Strategy Tester demo first with all features unlocked.
Attach to one chart
Attach SFRecovery EA to any single chart. With manage-all "*" it watches the whole account from there — no need to attach it per symbol.
Load a Guardian preset — or just run the defaults
The factory defaults are the winning measured config (KALMAN mode, breaker 2/4/6%, anti-stall 96/24, partials from the first add). For 10k accounts, load a Guardian preset: XAUUSD 0.01 lot or EURUSD 0.10 lot.
InpDDMoney, InpBasketMoney and InpMaxLossMoney are absolute $ amounts. Scale them to your account and position size before going live — the Guardian presets are calibrated for 10k accounts.
SFRecovery EA vs AW Recovery EA.
AW Recovery is the established reference in the category. Here is the honest split.
SFRecovery EA (us)
✓ $30 one-time on MQL5 Market, free Strategy Tester demo
✓ Net-positive pair guard: partials close only when the pair books your minimum NET $
✓ Anti-stall engine: time-based adds and cycle auto-exit (v3.15)
✓ Kalman trend filter as factory default
✓ 3-tier circuit breaker with hard $ loss cap
✓ Manage-all "*" out of the box
AW Recovery EA
✓ Established for years, with far more reviews and installs
✓ Available for both MT4 and MT5
✓ Mature, feature-rich panel and documentation
— Paid market leader on MQL5 Market (around $195 as of July 2026 — check the current listing)
— Gradual reduction style partials; our net-positive guard is our take on the same idea
If you need MT4 or want the most reviewed product in the category, AW Recovery is the safe pick. If you are on MT5 and want the anti-stall engine, the net-positive pair guard and a free tester demo before paying, that is what we built.

Averaging down increases exposure while losing. DCA converts many small losses into fewer, larger ones. SFRecovery EA ships protection params to bound it — configure the hard $ loss cap first — but it is not a trading system, has no entry signal, and will not make a losing strategy profitable. Hedging account recommended.
