How to connect Hola Prime to MT5
- Open MT5 and go to File > Login to Trade Account (or File > Open an Account if the account is new).
- Type the login number exactly. It is not your email and it is not your client-area user name.
- Pick the server issued by Hola Prime and type the trading password. The investor (read-only) password will connect but will not let the EA place orders.
- Check the bottom-right corner: a green connection with a latency figure means the terminal is live. A red "No connection" means the server or the password is wrong, or the terminal cannot reach the broker.
Platform and credentials
The login, password and server come from the firm, not from a broker. They appear in the trader dashboard once the account is provisioned, and the server belongs to the firm's infrastructure, so it will not appear in a list of retail broker servers.
Two checks before you automate: confirm in the dashboard that the account is on MT5 (some firms also offer other platforms), and confirm the account is not in read-only mode after a breach. A breached account can still accept the MT5 login while rejecting every order.
Rules that matter when you automate
Three numbers decide whether an automated strategy survives an evaluation: the daily loss limit, the maximum loss limit and the minimum trading days. The profit target is the one everyone looks at, and it is the least likely to fail you.
Read the current values on the official Hola Prime rules page and put them in the challenge planner. The planner returns how many consecutive losing trades you can take at your risk per trade, and how much you need per day to reach the target inside the minimum days. If the answer is fewer than five losing trades, the risk per trade is too high for that account size.
Two rules are easy to break by accident with automation. A news restriction can reject an order that the EA sent at the right time, and a weekend or holding rule can turn a valid position into a breach. Check both before the first live alert, and use the news filter if your plan includes it.
Does SignalForge work with Hola Prime?
Yes, as long as your account runs on MetaTrader 5. SignalForge does not connect to the broker through an API: it places the order from the MT5 terminal where the EA is attached, using your own login. That is why the setup works the same on a demo, a live account or a prop-firm account on Hola Prime: no broker agreement is needed, and no credentials leave your terminal.
Two practical consequences. First, the terminal must be running with the EA on a chart when the alert arrives; if MT5 is closed, the order is not placed. Second, the symbol in the alert must match the symbol in that terminal, which is what the next sections cover.
TradingView alerts to your Hola Prime account
- Create the signal in TradingView and copy the webhook URL from the SignalForge dashboard (Connect > Copy webhook).
- In the TradingView alert, paste the URL into Notifications > Webhook URL and paste the JSON body the dashboard shows. The body needs the symbol, the side and your account token.
- Make sure the alert fires once per bar close for strategies, or once for manual ideas. A re-firing alert sends the order every time.
- Attach the SignalForge EA to one chart of the terminal and paste your webhook token in its input. The chart can be any symbol: the EA routes by the symbol in the alert.
- Send a test alert. The dashboard shows delivered when the EA confirms the order, not when TradingView fires.
Sizing that fits a challenge
The risk per trade is the number that decides whether a challenge survives a bad week. Take your own target, daily loss and maximum loss from the Hola Prime rules page, put them in the challenge planner and it returns how many losing trades you can take, how much you need per day and how the account looks with a given balance. For the order itself, the lot size calculator turns that risk into lots on the symbol you trade, including XAUUSD and NAS100 variants.
What to check on day one
Run one alert on the challenge account with the smallest allowed lot, confirm it appears as delivered in the dashboard, and check the fill in the MT5 history. That single cycle proves four things at once: the token is right, the symbol matches, the account is allowed to trade and the EA has permission to send orders. Doing it on day one is cheaper than discovering it on day nine.
Common MT5 errors on Hola Prime
- "Invalid account". The pair login + server does not exist. Check the server first: a demo login does not authorise on a live server and the other way round. Then check the password: the client-area password and the MT5 trading password are different.
- "No connection". The terminal cannot reach the broker. Try another server from the same broker, check whether your network blocks the MT5 ports, and confirm the broker is not in maintenance. A demo that has expired also shows this.
- "Market closed". The symbol exists but its session is closed, or the broker disabled it for your account type. Metals and indices keep shorter sessions than forex.
- "Invalid stops" (10016). The stop loss or take profit is too close to the current price for that broker. Widen the distance or let the EA manage the stop after the fill.
- "Not enough money" (10019). The lot is too large for the free margin at that leverage. Recalculate with the margin calculator before changing the lot by hand.
FAQ
Does Hola Prime use MetaTrader 5?
Hola Prime references MT5 accounts on its own site. Confirm the platform in your trader dashboard before you buy, because firms change the platforms they offer.
Where do I get the Hola Prime MT5 credentials?
From the firm's trader dashboard, once the account is provisioned. The server belongs to the firm, so it will not be in a retail broker's server list.
What rules should I set in the EA first?
The daily loss and the maximum loss. Put the firm's current values in the challenge planner, take the risk per trade it returns and set the lot with the lot size calculator.
Does SignalForge enforce the firm's rules?
The EA can enforce a daily loss limit and block entries around news when you enable those guards. It does not replace the firm's own monitoring: a rule you break is still a breach.
