Does SignalForge work with FxPro?
Yes, with FxPro MT5 accounts, demo or live. FxPro offers several platforms (MT4, MT5, cTrader and its own platform); SignalForge works with MetaTrader 5 only.
SignalForge is a bridge between TradingView and the MetaTrader 5 terminal you control: your alert fires on TradingView, the webhook reaches SignalForge and our EA opens the order inside your own MT5, with your FxPro account open. Median time from webhook to confirmed order was about 0.5 s in our measurements of 19-23 September 2026. No API keys and no change of broker. MT5 only: MT4 is not supported.
If you live in Spain: the notice on fxpro.es (checked 4 October 2026) says FxPro cannot accept clients residing in Spain. This guide applies if you already hold an FxPro MT5 account and reside outside Spain.
FxPro MT5 server (verified 4 October 2026)
| Server | Where FxPro shows it | Notes |
|---|---|---|
FxPro-MT5 | mt5webtrader.fxpro.com | Default server of FxPro's MT5 web terminal (FxPro Markets Ltd.) |
FxPro runs more MT5 servers, live and demo, but we could not verify their exact names in an official source, so we publish none. Yours is in the welcome email and in your client area. If it does not show in MT5, open File > Open an Account, search FxPro and pick the server from your email.
Step by step: TradingView alerts to your FxPro MT5 account
You need: an FxPro MT5 account, a TradingView plan that includes webhook alerts (paid) and a SignalForge account (14-day free trial, no card).
- Create your SignalForge account and copy your webhook URL from the dashboard. It is unique: treat it like a password.
- Register your FxPro account in the dashboard: the MT5 login and the exact server name (for example the one in your welcome email). Copy it from your terminal letter by letter.
- Install the SignalForge EA in MT5, drag it onto any chart and switch Algo Trading on (the button must be green).
- Create the alert in TradingView, paste your webhook URL and use a JSON message with the symbol name from your Market Watch:
{
"symbol": "XAUUSD",
"action": "buy",
"lot": 0.1
}
- Fire a test alert with the minimum lot and confirm the order appears in MT5 and in the SignalForge log.
- Done: every alert executes on your FxPro account while MT5 is open.
The lot field is lot (singular). If the EA is set to fixed-lot mode, the lot in the alert is ignored and the EA uses your fixed size.
FxPro symbols
| Symbol | Instrument | What to check |
|---|---|---|
XAUUSD | Gold | Contract differs from forex: read the Specification |
EURUSD | Euro / dollar | Copy the exact name from Market Watch |
GBPUSD | Pound / dollar | Copy the exact name from Market Watch |
US30 | Dow Jones | Index names change between brokers: check Market Watch |
US500 | S&P 500 | Index names change between brokers: check Market Watch |
BTCUSD | Bitcoin | Crypto CFD: check the contract |
Names depend on the account type, so copy them from your Market Watch (Ctrl+M). The EA resolves common suffixes by itself (.a, .b, .i, .pro, .raw, .std, .stp, m, pro, #) and partial matches, so XAUUSD in the alert still finds XAUUSDm. The server also maps GOLD to XAUUSD and SILVER to XAGUSD; if your FxPro account truly calls gold GOLD, ask support for an alias for that account.
Common errors with FxPro MT5 (and how to solve them)
- You downloaded the wrong terminal. FxPro offers MT4, MT5 and cTrader: the SignalForge EA installs on MetaTrader 5 only, and an MT4 login will not enter MT5.
- The alert arrives but no trade opens. Almost always Algo Trading is off, the EA is not on a chart, or the login/server registered in SignalForge does not match the account open in MT5. Step-by-step review: webhook received but no trade in MT5.
- Wrong symbol or lot. Gold, indices and crypto have a contract size different from forex, so the same
lotmeans different exposure. Read the symbol Specification in MT5 and see wrong symbol, lot size or account in MT5. - Error 4756 in the Journal. The trade request was rejected: invalid stops, invalid volume, not enough margin or trading disabled for that symbol. Diagnosis: MT5 error 4756.
- MT5 closed, PC off or terminal restarted. Alerts arriving while the terminal is down do not execute and old signals expire. What happens to open positions: what happens if MT5 closes.
Prop-firm accounts
If you trade a prop-firm account on MT5, the setup is the same. From the Trader plan, Prop Firm Shield applies a daily loss limit ($ or %) and a profit target: it closes open positions (it does not cancel pending orders) and rearms at 00:00 broker time. It does not enforce a max overall drawdown, so that limit is yours to watch. The news filter (from Trader) pauses trading 30/15 min around high-impact ForexFactory events.
FAQ
- Which FxPro server do I pick in MT5? The one in your FxPro welcome email or client area. FxPro's official MT5 web terminal (mt5webtrader.fxpro.com) uses the
FxPro-MT5server (checked 4 October 2026). FxPro runs more MT5 servers, live and demo; we publish no names because we could not verify them in an official source. - I use FxPro cTrader. Does SignalForge work there? No. The SignalForge EA is for MetaTrader 5 only: it does not work with MT4 or cTrader either. Open an MT5 account with FxPro and connect that one.
- I live in Spain. Can I open a FxPro account? According to the notice on fxpro.es (checked 4 October 2026), FxPro cannot accept clients residing in Spain. If you live in Spain, choose another MT5 broker; otherwise, or if you think it is an error, FxPro says to write to support@fxpro.com.
- Does it work with a FxPro demo account? Yes, demo and live use the same setup: register the demo login and its server in SignalForge.
- Do I need a VPS? No. The EA runs inside your own MT5 terminal, which must be open for alerts to execute. If you want it running with the PC off, SFCloud runs it for you in a hosted MT5 (UK and France): $9.99/mo with the Starter bridge (Starter + SFCloud). Standalone SFCloud ($6.99/mo) is an always-on MT5 in the cloud for manual trading; it does not include the bridge, so it does not execute TradingView alerts.
