The classic path in two phases: 10% profit target in the FTMO Challenge, then 5% in Verification, with the same loss limits in both and no time limit on either. Full rule set below, plus what it means for an automated setup.
Rule values taken from ftmo.com on October 23, 2026 (its own objectives table). FTMO can change its terms; the live source is always ftmo.com.
Only the target drops: 10% in the Challenge, 5% in the Verification. The risk limits (10% max, 5% daily), the 4 minimum days and the unlimited period repeat in both, and Swing becomes available on this path if your strategy trades news or holds positions over the weekend. In practice, phase 2 is where an automated system proves consistency with the same guardrails.
The whole evaluation runs on a demo environment, so an automation bridge is the natural fit: your TradingView alert fires, our webhook delivers it, and the SignalForge EA executes on the evaluation account. Its Prop Firm Shield adds a daily-loss guard toward the 5% Max Daily Loss, drawdown protection toward the 10% Maximum Loss, a news filter and a max-lot cap, so a miswritten alert cannot blow a rule by itself. Run the EA on your own MT5 terminal, or host it on SFCloud from $6.99/mo so the Mac/sleep/update problem disappears.
Swing accounts, for one: the Swing type (no news restrictions, no overnight/weekend limits) is not offered on the 1-Step. The 2-Step also splits the goal into two smaller targets (10%, then 5%).
Yes: 4 separate trading days in the Challenge and 4 more in the Verification, per FTMO's objectives table (checked October 23, 2026).
During the Evaluation Process FTMO's news restriction does not apply regardless of account type, per their own text. On Swing accounts (2-Step only) news trading has no restriction either. Our EA still offers a news filter for brokers or strategies that want it.
Yes: the bridge and the guards are the same. Only the profit target changes, and that is FTMO's side, not the EA's.
Same rules, checked the same day, for the other two paths:
The bridge and its guards stay identical from the Challenge to Verification. Fourteen days free, no card.
