Before your first automated trade on E8 Markets, size it properly: the lot size calculator for MT5 includes prop-firm presets with daily loss checks.

Does SignalForge work with E8 Markets?

SignalForge is a bridge between TradingView and the MetaTrader 5 terminal you control: your alert fires on TradingView, the webhook lands on SignalForge and our EA opens the order inside your own MT5, logged into your E8 Markets account. Median time from webhook to confirmed order was about 0.5 s in our 19-23 September 2026 measurements. No API keys, no change of broker. MT5 only: the EA does not run on TradeLocker, cTrader or MatchTrader.

Check this first: E8 Markets platforms and eligibility

Everything below comes from E8 Markets' own site, checked on 25 October 2026. MT5 is operated by E8 Markets Ltd, registered in Saint Lucia, and the site notes that MT5 access is restricted for US citizens and certain jurisdictions. The other platforms listed on the site (TradeLocker, cTrader, MatchTrader and the E8 Terminal) are operated by E8 Funding LLC of Dallas, Texas. SignalForge works only with MT5 accounts.

EA rules. Prop firms update their EA and trading policies over time, and we could not verify a public EA policy on the day of writing. Ask E8 Markets support in writing before running any EA on an evaluation or funded account, and do not use it there if they say no.

E8 Markets in one minute

E8 Markets (styled E8Markets™) is a US-founded prop firm: its site names E8 Funding LLC of Dallas, Texas; E8 Markets Ltd, registered in Saint Lucia, operates the MT5 platform; and the website runs under Digital Renaissance LLC (Puerto Rico). It advertises $79M+ in payouts processed since 2021 and challenge sizes from $5,000 up to $500,000 on its E8 One and E8 Pro products. Everything below works the same on an evaluation and on a funded account.

How to connect your E8 Markets account to MetaTrader 5

  1. After buying a challenge, download MT5 from your E8 Markets dashboard or the link in your welcome email.
  2. In MT5 open File > Login to Trade Account and enter the login, password and server from your credentials.
  3. If the server is not in the list, open File > Open an Account, search for E8 and pick the server your dashboard shows.
  4. Check that the account appears in the Navigator and that quotes move in Market Watch. That account is the one you register in SignalForge.

Which server: how to find yours (and why guessing fails)

E8 Markets does not publish a fixed list of MT5 server names on its site, so do not copy one from a forum or a screenshot: they change over time. Two reliable sources:

  • The welcome email or the account details in your E8 Markets dashboard: copy the exact string shown there.
  • MT5 itself: File, Open an Account, type E8 and the terminal lists the servers currently published.

Register that same string in SignalForge when you add the account: the EA uses it to identify the right terminal. A wrong server is also the number one cause of “No connection”.

Step by step: TradingView alerts to your E8 Markets MT5 account

You need: an MT5 account with E8 Markets, a TradingView plan that includes webhook alerts (a paid plan) and a SignalForge account (14-day free trial, no card).

  1. Create your SignalForge account and copy your webhook URL from the dashboard. It is unique to you: treat it like a password.
  2. Register your E8 Markets account in the dashboard: MT5 login plus the exact server string. Copy it character by character.
  3. Install the SignalForge EA in MT5, drag it onto any chart and switch Algo Trading on (the button must be green).
  4. Create the alert in TradingView, paste your webhook URL and use a JSON message with the symbol name from your Market Watch:
{
  "symbol": "XAUUSD",
  "action": "buy",
  "lot": 0.1
}
  1. Fire a test alert with a minimum lot and check that the order appears in MT5 and in the SignalForge log.
  2. Done: every alert now executes on your E8 Markets account while MT5 is running.

The lot field is lot (singular). If you set the EA to fixed-lot mode, the lot of the alert is ignored and the EA uses your fixed size.

Names depend on the account type, so copy them from your Market Watch (Ctrl+M). The EA resolves common suffixes by itself (.a, .b, .i, .pro, .raw, .std, .stp, m, pro, #) and partial matches. The server also maps GOLD to XAUUSD and SILVER to XAGUSD.

Common errors with E8 Markets MT5 (and fixes)

  • "Invalid account" or no connection at login. Login, password or server do not match. Copy all three from your credentials email or dashboard.
  • The alert arrives but no trade opens. Usually Algo Trading is off, the EA is not on a chart, or the login/server registered in SignalForge does not match the account logged into MT5. Step-by-step check: TradingView webhook not executing in MT5.
  • Wrong symbol or wrong lot size. Gold, indices and crypto have different contract sizes from forex, so the same lot means a different exposure. Check the symbol Specification in MT5 and read wrong symbol, lot size or account in MT5.
  • Error 4756 in the Journal. The trade request was rejected: invalid stops, invalid volume, not enough margin or trading disabled on that symbol. Diagnosis: MT5 error 4756.
  • MT5 closed, PC off or terminal restarted. Alerts that arrive while the terminal is down do not execute, and stale signals expire. What happens to open trades: MT5 restart and your alerts.

Risk limits on an E8 Markets account

Prop Firm Shield (Trader plan and above) enforces a daily loss limit ($ or %) and a profit target: it closes open positions (it does not cancel pending orders) and re-arms at 00:00 broker time. It does not enforce a maximum total drawdown, so keep track of that limit yourself. The news filter (Trader and above) pauses trading 30/15 min around high-impact ForexFactory events.

FAQ

  1. How do I connect my E8 Markets account to MetaTrader 5? Download MT5 from your E8 Markets dashboard or welcome email, open File, then Login to Trade Account, and enter the login, password and server from your credentials. If the server is not listed, open File, then Open an Account, and search for E8.
  2. Can I connect E8 Markets to TradingView? Yes, through a bridge such as SignalForge: the alert fires on TradingView, the webhook reaches us and the EA opens the order inside your own MT5 logged into your E8 account. It does not work on their TradeLocker, cTrader or MatchTrader offering.
  3. Which E8 Markets entity operates MT5? Per their own site (checked 25 October 2026): E8 Markets Ltd, registered in Saint Lucia, and MT5 access is restricted for US citizens and certain jurisdictions. The other platforms are operated by E8 Funding LLC of Dallas, Texas.
  4. Does E8 Markets allow the SignalForge EA? Prop firms update their EA policies over time and we could not verify a public EA policy on the day of writing. Ask E8 support in writing before running any EA, and do not use it there if they say no.
  5. Do I need a VPS? No. The EA runs inside your own MT5 terminal, which has to stay open for alerts to execute. If you want it running with your PC off, SFCloud runs it for you in a hosted MT5 (UK and France): $9.99/month with the Starter bridge (Starter + SFCloud). Standalone SFCloud ($6.99/month) is an always-on MT5 for manual trading; it does not include the bridge.
  6. Does Prop Firm Shield protect E8 Markets' maximum loss? No. Prop Firm Shield (Trader plan and above) enforces a daily loss limit and a profit target; it does not enforce a maximum total drawdown, so track that limit yourself.
