How to connect your broker to TradingView.
There are exactly two ways to connect a broker to TradingView: native in-panel execution, which exists only for the brokers TradingView has integrated, and the alert-bridge route, which copies your TradingView signals into your broker’s MetaTrader account. This guide covers both, and how to know which one applies to you.
Two directions: analysis vs execution.
WHAT TRADINGVIEW CAN AND CANNOT DO
Every broker “connects” to TradingView in the first sense: you can pull the broker’s symbols into your charts, analyse them and build strategies. The question that matters for automation is the second sense: can an order go from the chart to your account? That only exists where TradingView has built in-panel trading for the broker, or where you add a bridge.
Route A: native execution.
CHECK THE INTEGRATED BROKERS LIST
TradingView maintains a list of integrated brokers whose accounts trade from inside the panel. If your broker is on it, connecting means linking the account from TradingView’s trading panel and trading directly on the chart. The list is what it is: it covers a subset of stock, futures and crypto brokers, and most forex and CFD brokers that hand you a MetaTrader terminal are not on it.
Route B: the MT5 catch, and the bridge.
WHERE MOST TRADERS END UP
If your account is a MetaTrader 5 account — which at forex and CFD brokers is the norm — native execution does not exist: TradingView cannot place orders inside your broker’s MT5. The practical connection is an alert bridge: your strategy or indicator fires an alert in TradingView, the webhook carries it to the bridge, and an EA inside your MT5 places the order on your account. Median time from alert to confirmed order in our 19-23 September 2026 measurements was about 0.5 s.
The full setup — account, EA, webhook URL, demo test — is in how to copy TradingView signals into MT5 and the base connection in connect TradingView to MT5; the webhook body is covered in configure the TradingView webhook for MT5.
Before you connect anything.
THE THREE CHECKS
Symbol names. The alert must name the symbol exactly as your broker’s Market Watch shows it (Ctrl+M), suffixes included. Sizing. Decide fixed lot or risk-based before the first alert, sized with the lot size calculator. Demo first. Run the whole chain on a demo account with a minimum lot before a single live order — the demo run is what proves the connection, not the config screen. And if you trade a prop firm account, add the firm’s daily-loss limits on top: the shield watches them for you on Trader plan and above.
